The Global Youth Innovation Network, GYIN, recently brought 60 entrepreneurs to Benin to find ways to combat poverty. Sponsors of the event and the participants say the four-day helped the youth to build networks that will help them get closer to reaching this goal. Sam Olukoya reports from Cotonou.

Mahoub Damala est un jeune opérateur agricole. Après une formation classique dans un lycée agricole au Bénin, il s’inscrit en 2008 au centre Songhaï de Porto-Novo pour maitriser les techniques agricoles. Aujourd’hui, il est devenu un entrepreneur.

Mahoub Damala studied agriculture in high school, then registered at the Songhai Centre in Porto-Novo to further master agricultural techniques. Today he has become a rural entrepreneur.
